Our Smart Little Boy!

Carson has changed so much since he turned three! He is now able to spell his name, recognize letters, and tell us his birth date. We are currently working on our address with him. He has also changed in a "not so good" way. He has been telling us "no" when we ask him to do something, hitting and kicking when he doesn't like something (like time-out) and is quite bossy. He has proven to me that my patience is way less than I ever imagined. I am constantly threatening to "send him to the moon"! Is that possible anyone? Since it is almost November we have been reminding him that Santa Clause is watching to see if he is being good! The other day I was explaining to him that he would need to pick out some toys that he doesn't play with often to donate to little boys who don't have any before Christmas. He ran to the play room to find some and he quickly pointed out to me that I should donate my "exercise thing" because I rarely use it! What a little Smartie Pants....he is so right!

Finally a Video!....Rolling Over

Collin rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time on Monday and he happened to do it 5 more times so I could get it on camera! He's been rolling from his back to tummy for a month now.

First Bites of Cereal

I know Collin is only 4 1/2 months old but I really would like for him to get out of the habit of waking up at 4:45 every morning with a poopy diaper so I thought maybe I could alter it by giving him some rice cereal. He seemed to enjoy the first 3 bites and then he started gagging on it so I quit. I think he looks so big in these pictures! I let you know if my little plan works:)

Raking Leaves

Brett and Carson decided it was time to rake the leaves today. I'm not quite sure why because the hard is already full of them again! They sure had fun and Collin enjoyed watching them too.

Tired and Worn Out!

Carson went deer hunting with Brett last night for a few hours. He said he did pretty good considering he is only 3! He was so wound up when they got home...it must have been from holding still and keeping quiet for 2 hours :) He wasn't too eager to go to bed but we finally got him there...or so we thought! This is how we found him. Not the safest place in the house to fall asleep at.

4 Months Old

Collin is now 4 months old and today we had his well-baby checkup at the clinic. He weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long. He is smiling constantly and giggling when you talk to him or tickle his back. He is able to roll from his back to his tummy easily but does not enjoy tummy-time too much. He still goes to bed around 7pm and wakes me each morning at 5am with a poopy diaper! He usually goes back to sleep right before my alarm goes off...unfortunatly! He's enjoying daycare and I've been enjoying the my lunch break when I can go nurse him. It is getting more and more difficult for me to leave him when he's so smiley :(

"Welcome Collin" Party

On October 2nd my co-workers had a "Welcome Collin" party for us. Carson had a great time opening gifts while Collin was being passed around. He was also very happy that both Grandma Betty & Grandma Carol were able to come!
