Making Progress

I had a conference this week in Omaha (over my spring break!) so I was excited to see what they got done on the house while I was gone. When I got home last night we picked Dozer up at the vet and drove up by the house. It was muddy from all the rain but they are making progress!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We spent St. Patty's Day weekend at Grandma & Grandpa's house. The weather was so nice so the boys spent a lot of time outside playing in their shorts. It seems so weird that they are wearing shorts in March!

LIFE

Last Thursday Carson woke up with a 102 temperature, body aches, cough, and throwing up. I took him to the doctor because I knew Influenza A had been reported at school. He was so disappointed that even though he got a flu shot this year, he still got the flu. It didn't help that it was so nice out last week...in the 70s and 80s! We sat outside for a little while and before I knew it he had fallen asleep.
That same day, Collin was in trouble for something and I put him in time-out only to find he had fallen asleep there. Thankfully, no one else ended up getting the flu.

The basement walls have been poured. The two windows on the south side will be in our family room. The north side will have two bedrooms and the bathroom and storage room will be located on the east side.

10 Months

Cash turned 10 months old on March 10th. This is the first time I didn't actually get a picture of him on the 10th. He started crawling the week before he turned 10 months old. He likes finger foods, patty-cake, and sucking his thumb when he has his little blankie.

Our "Long" Weekend

Brett made it home late Thursday night after spending 25 days away from home. On Friday morning we took Carson to school, finished getting ready and then drove up by the new house.

They now have it back filled and ready to the pour the basement floor. After looking at the house we took Carson out for lunch to Runza and he enjoyed getting away from school for a little bit.

We had an Open House on Saturday morning so we spent the morning cleaning and then headed to Walmart for a few items. Cash enjoyed watching some TV with dad before we left.

Brett and I had our usual date night on Saturday and enjoyed a nice dinner at Ally Rose.

On Sunday afternoon we took Carson & Collin to see Lorax. They always enjoy going to movies and being able to go with mom & dad made it extra special.

Brett didn't fly out until Tuesday this trip and since the weather was so nice we grilled supper. Carson requested hotdogs and steak but settled for a thick juicy porkchop and hotdogs. Gordon stopped by and a played a few games of 2 square with Carson and had a few drinks.

This afternoon the temps reached into the upper 70s so we walked to the park and the kids rode their bikes, played ball, and enjoyed the playground.

We are all enjoying the weather and looking forward to many more springy-summer like days!
